I worked with two young-ish engineers who resigned last year after receiving their bonuses. They both thought their stock was high and decided to test the market and came up with nothing. Both without EI went on CERB. One of them found work just last month. The other is still at home chewing through his savings on CWLB. Is it the CVE curse? Or are they just not as marketable as they believed.. probably a bit of both.
You do realize that there are companies in Calgary who refuse to hire ex-CVE staff, right? I've seen it firsthand.
I'm pretty sure you're one of the unfortunate people who was let go a year ago but hasn't come to terms with it yet. Please don't give people bad advise because you're feelings were hurt.
