My computer has been performing like 💩💩 for two days now…

Do something else for 30 minutes. Check email. Have a free coffee. Visit the loo.
If it is taking you 30 minutes to download a powerpoint on a company laptop at the office from a company website, then you need to submit a ticket to get your cr-p fixed, because that doesn't make any sense unless some id10t is embedding multiple gigabyte movies in the powerpoint and everybody in the office is trying to get the ppt at the same time or something.
If it's taking 3 minutes, stop being such a baby. That's more than reasonable.
When it takes half an hour to download and open the powerpoint deck I'm forced to store 'in the cloud', I think it's safe to say that the internet -or at least the internal network speed(?)- is for sh-t. I know it's an unpopular opinion on this site, but the office is not a magical place of unicorns, rainbows, and unrivaled work efficiency when I have to wait that long just to open a presentation.
Why is "if you feel like surfing the net and screwing around all day and not do your job then you should quit" a "red.neck" sentiment? I feel the same way, and I am the furthest thing from a red.neck that there is and ever was. That's the way it is anywhere, BTW. You are dumping the workload on others and that makes you a selfish A$$ who won't work or carry their weight, nothing special. Feel free to use you latest childish words of dismay. You apply a term to all the out of context situations that you can and it eventually becomes meaningless, like "That's wassist!!!!"

Tether your personal laptop to your personal phone and do whatever tf you want to do at lunch. That's how most of us handle that.
I wish they would open the internet at work so I could use my personal laptop. I like to play war game at lunch time.

According to management the morale is going to go through the roof heading back to the office. Everyone will lose the frustration and be happy again since its been said not being together is what caused such bad morale.
