Increasing the drilling program, due to high oil prices, would be a colossal mistake. The speed of the current program is nearly unattainable, adding more inventory would break the program. Not too mention, by the time the program does ramp up, the economy will collapse under the pressure of these high prices, and with it the price of oil. Management is so out of touch, they won't take action until it is already a disaster. Too busy drafting ESG reports.

Actually, it was the large stock investors who told Scott, who then told the WSJ we wouldn’t drill more and would be disciplined. Neither SS or the board is in control of pioneer's future.
Why drill at all. Go buy electric cars and solar. Oil will not be needed.
More vaccines will help. Everyone please get your 9th shot for the cause.
But Scott just told the WSJ we wouldn’t drill more and would be disciplined!
