Interviewing hasn't changed for the worse. it's actually gotten much better. go on linkedin, filter for easy apply, your experience level, remote only (or whatever combo works for you) . Then proceed to mash the apply button and wait for the recruiters to call you same day or within a day or 2. Start up or dinosaur company, doesnt matter. do a few rounds, get the hang of it..same questions same playbook..why are you leaving, why do you want to join, tell me about a time. Be authentic and the right opportunity will present itself...but you have to put your self out there.

All of ELT and higher managers that have the VDI CVAD is the solution to everything blinkers on.

They totally lost the touch of the market change and customer demand and therefore are staying as all other will be a risk to face the reality.

The long-timers (15+years) are very very hesitant on leaving. Why?

Because they are fearful of interviewing and leaving the mother-ship that they’ve only known since graduating college. It’s a scary time for them bc they could be very out of touch with finding a new job. Their anxiety is sky high bc they aren’t used to interviewing and what is needed for it
