Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Take care of yourself

Wrists hurt? Can’t sleep at night waking up with pain? An ergonomic review has been denied to you or received little advise from one?
I hear more and more co-workers complaining about these things. If you are suffering from any pain and you think it is work related talk to your doctor and file an L&I /workers como claim.
SF is overworking claim handlers and they owe you if by doing so you are now in pain.

The sooner everyone believes and understands they do not care about you the better off they will be. It is important to understand what they say and what they do are different. It is hard to come to terms believing they are professional liars and politicians. Know in your heart it is not you. They absolutely will learn their world will eventually destroy itself. They have separated themselves from the common man with huge bonuses which will lead to their demise. Ask Putin in another two years. They are now different. They are building on a mission that the end result will be disastrous. I don't think they currently are willing to see the signs that a future disaster is eminent. Patience! They will destroy themselves.

+1 to previous comment. Gotta take care of your mental health. I knew I was in a bad spot mentally. I didn't want to go see a doctor, to be prescribed meds, in order to numb the pain. I started with some new daily routines. I learned to meditate, twice a day, for about 10 minutes per session. Then I would take a 30 minutes walk everyday, during lunch. I communicated what was going with work, to my significant other. I began to feel better a little better, because I undestood it was the job that was causing my stress/anxiety/depression. Then I began to go to the gym 3 times a week, and started looking for a new job. I left the farm last year and for a new career. I have been at the new gig for almost a year, and I have not experienced the feelings at the farm; and still no meds. I had worked at the farm for almost two decades, and I knew what I was walking away from. While the salary and time off, and pension were good, but I wasn't enjoying life and the daily presence moments. I didn't care about the golden handcuffs anymore. I wanted to leave five years ago, but I still needed time to pay my house off, and all debts. So I know that leaving the farm on a whim would not be easy, but I had to come up with a game plan.

Take care of your mental health. This job is more harmful to my mental health and overall well being more than anything physical caused by sitting at my desk and mousing. I’ve even had sui-idal lows because of the unreasonable demands of management and the customers all constantly making me feel not good enough.
