Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

Performance no longer important

If I could turn back time, I would never again work as hard here as I did. The "reward" for all my efforts was layoff. Who wouldn’t be frustrated when it turns out that performance isn’t a criteria for layoff here at all. At least it wasn't in my case. Life goes on, I will find a new job, but this is definitely my biggest lesson so far.

In my 15 years at Chase I had several years in which I received "Exceeds Expectations" and very little or no raise at all. Managers use people that work hard.

Have any CCs here been laid off? When do layoffs usually end?

Even if you’re not laid off, your reward is sh*ty bonus and “raise” that don’t keep up with inflations. Well, unless you kiss your manager’s rear. You know, the usual office politic
