Upstream Texas Oil and Gas Employment Surges

According to the Texas Oil and Gas Association, "Data released by the Texas Workforce Commission shows increasing strength in upstream oil and natural gas employment in the state. In February 2022, Texas upstream jobs grew by 5,100, the highest spike in over a decade and the second highest jump in at least 32 years." Hiring is back on the concept that oil prices are not going back down. It is called inflation. The Saudi's just said they want to raise the price of oil, not lower it.

"...increasing strength in upstream oil and natural gas employment..." A ruse for the illiterate. You're comparing 2022 numbers against the shakeouts and layoffs of 2016 and 2020. Of course they're going to go "up". What is more telling is the absolute number of people employed, not the percentage change.

War will be over soon enough and everyone they hired will get laid off. Economy cannot handle extreme price increases in energy, food, housing, etc for much longer. The bust is always right behind the bo-m.
