This is definitely the last project I work on here! I no longer want to work in a company where managers protect manipulative and lazy employees who blame others for their poor performance at the expense of employees who actually do most of the work. For years now, every new project has been a bigger and bigger ordeal. I've had enough.

That playbook is everywhere. The low performers are no threat to the status quo. Long live the 5 blockers!
Run as hard as you want. If it doesnt help your boss get promoted you are wasting effort.
You need to re-evaluate what tasks matter.

Yep, I get what you're saying. Several months ago I was feeling what you are. Figured it was time to move on.
Was fortunate enough to find a great spot on another team that works well together.
That is certainly not the normal anymore.
