Inflation Calculator

https://www.usinflationcalculator.com/

Determine your real income versus historical pay. Its very likely your income has moved a lot less than you imagined. I'm posting this because many people's brains don't automatically adjust for inflation and they compare their historical unadjusted pay to today's pay and think they've made progress in their wage growth.
Another thing to point out is if you're SF, your career growth is dead. Salaries are high, talent as well, but Charlie isn't looking to pay for it and will abuse you and offer up no career growth. You're much better going to fintech or changing industries all together if possible. You and great team could create a company valued more than wells fargo.

I've had a WFH hourly side contracting gig for the last two years to make up for my underpayment at WF.

Just ran all the salaries I was hired at through my multi-decade career at WF. Looks like I outpaced inflation with each and every job move. Thanks to this year's weighting system I jumped way ahead of it. \m/

My regular raise didn't keep up certainly, but I had a mid-year recalibration that was 17%, so I'm net ahead for the year.

And this is no different at almost any other company. What companies are handing out 6-7% raises across the board? Also what happens when inflation is low or stagnant, do you a pay cut?
