I hope I won’t have to send a bunch more resumes to finally get an offer and get out of here. I really have never sent so many resumes before. Either I'm unlucky or it's really not as easy to get a job now as many say it is. Perhaps those who got an offer are not telling the truth that they had been looking for a job much longer than what they said. What are your experiences like?

"I've faxed my resume..."
- I think I see your problem. Seriously though. Like someone else said: use your network. Cold calling is a numbers game and the odds are not so great.
Good luck.
I've faxed my resumes, no hits.
Are you applying online? No one mails out resumes anymore.
Network, network, network... And that means building your LinkedIn network beyond what you would think. When I was looking for a job, it really was about who you know to get a foot in the door. I interviewed for a job and was turned down. But, I got a call from same company 1 month later with an offer for a newly created position in the company.
Make sure your LinkedIn is up-to-date with skills/certs/etc AND turn on the setting to show that you’re looking for a new role. You have the option to make it available for everyone to see and the sneaky one where someone has to be logged in with their recruiting profile to see. I’ve had several recruiters reach out to me as Q1 was drawing to a close and Q2 started ramping up with just doing those two things. Good luck!
Depends on what you do/what your skills are. What I did isn't in great demand, and even though I see my skills as very transferable, after getting let go, it took a full year to get something. I also see a lot of jobs paying less than what I was making at TR. YMMV.
Hang in there and maybe also get a professional resume done. Also Linked In contacts may have suggestions and recommendations
Hang in there.
I've had the same experience. I've applied to many positions with no bites. Is it my resume? Age? I have no idea.
