A company like Exxon, where pathetic non-productive behavior and zero risk/innovative behavior is rewarded, should be eliminated

The company should be completely and utterly disseminated. One after another, it hand picks worst talents as managers and executives only because they fit the mold of paper pushers, turtles and donkeys.
Agree.
More Captain Hazelwoods spread more evenly across the corporation.
Not just the boardroom.
In capitalism the way to eliminate ExxonMobil would be to offer a better product elsewhere. Not happening? Maybe your analysis is incorrect. Maybe your “innovative” solutions depend on taxing citizens to prop them up financially.
XOM is particularly bad: all stick & absolutely no carrot. Rule #1: do not fk anything up. Rule #2: see #1. Because none of us peons get a bonus, no one sticks an appendage out. Much safer to be a turtle... No reward for risk taking. Don't have to make any progress, but make sure not to fk anything up.
Signed, someone that has pulled it out & put it on the table.
😭
And how are they any different than most legacy corporations? The auto industry is full of dead wood, but have us over the barrel now.
