Thread regarding L3Harris Technologies layoffs

Opposite layoff

I've been with the company for almost a decade and a half and have been through many layoffs and managed to stay around. What I'm seeing now is the opposite of a layoff, people are just plain leaving and going other places, the IT department left for some work at home jobs.

HR is working hard for the money here... LOL.
Asking the "anonymous" questions as if no one can tell how thirsty they are.
Good grief. D-mb and lazy is no way to go through life.

Lousy insurance, lazy management, lots of preferred treatment for specific category employees. No thanks.

How much are you paying for health insurance?
if you're single?
if you're married?
if you're married with kids?
if you're not married but have kids?
Also, can you post the state you're in.

Who would even WANT to stay?

  • The health insurance is now high deductible, low level coverage
  • Everyone is becoming a temporary employee at several locations
  • The "leadership" has been promoted into incompetence
  • They insist on treating employees terribly
  • They are years behind in shipping customer orders

L3 is the bottom of the barrell defense contractor. The true A-player (top performing person) would never ever apply to work at this sh!tty organization. If they did they will not stay very long.

I know people who worked at L3. One for 25 years the other for forty years. Both were laid off in the last wave.
Who decides this?

Here's something that I read recently that sums it up pretty well:
"Abusive bosses often blame a worker's lack of effort or care for poor performance when it's their own biases that may be the problem."

I agree with the comment about unqualified supervisors, because I worked for one.
This was her first and only job, and she just kept failing upwards, in true L3H fashion.
I actually was told by customers of just how bad her work level was. That says it all.

Those 2.5% raises and unqualified people in supervisor roles is what made me leave. I found another job doing something that I don't even have experience in making almost double. L3harris is a flaming garbage pile that isn't worth the time it takes to fill out an application.

Not surprised. Turnover is very high in most divisions.
