Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Stankey would whack a dozen employees

At the drop of a hat if he could get away with it and get the share price up a few bucks. Don't kid yourselves.

Stankey is a loser. Not fit to be a CEO at any company. He had better stay at T until retirement, no other company would consider him for a first level manager position.

such a good atmosphere at att.

stock price isn't going anywhere anytime soon. you have to actually listen to customers and give them what they want instead of forcing useless cr-p down their throats.

Get rid of the unneeded employees. Don't want to have workers around that aren't needed.

I don't know why they did not eliminate more SVPs since they are smaller. Why move expensive SVPs like Cheryl Choy into a nothing job vs letting her go.

When you have a company as large as T that employs just as many, headcount reductions are normal. In good tmes it employs more than it actually needs just for the good ole boys! When times become challenging, then operatng costs cutting is the only real solution. It's no different anywhere else in corporate America!

Amen. I was in his org years ago and that is how he made it more profitable- by surplusing employees. He tried nothing else and at that point in my career I knew he wasn’t a competent leader. I never in my life could of ever imagined someone would allow him to lead this company.
You can bet your backside you will see a surplus as part of the change in the company’s direction. I don’t claim to have knowledge of where and how many, but I do guarantee it will be many.
