Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Macy’s needs to adapt or change

have come to notice that Macy’s is definitely a company that seems to be thriving on it’s online platform. It’s store fleet seems to be separated into two categories, the great and well run stores that have been renovated/ flagships, then there’s the barely profitable stores that are not much better than a garage sale.

I compare other department store chains and Macy’s sometimes. Dillards seems to be doing very well and every time I go to any other stores I am impressed! They usually are immaculate and clean, professional employees servicing every department who are polite and courteous. Macy’s seems to be going smaller in their stores lately. I don’t think space is that much of an issue because Dillards has huge stores which are very well run. Just my observations between two very different companies.

Our store looks more and more like a flea market, to much backstage merchandise and last act merchandise.

Dillard's dress code looks more professional and other retailers too.
