More layoffs

36 more people laid off from IT today, deactivated and walked out in the middle of calls. Still feel safe? It’s only round 3

The day the slogan died a helpful smile in every aisle. We still provide decent service and variety in our stores. That doesn't mean shoes and indy car models. The new hi chi is doing well or above average. If continue to cut hours in perishables it weakening our strength against competitors. So the market whatever it is labor over ki-l. I really want hyvee to succeed so get back to service good quality perishables and fair prices on grocery, dairy, frozen and hbc. Stop worrying about all other cr-p you are dumping money into. Esp indy car.

Hst just needs to go. Put the work back to the stores. Centralized accounting cost the company way more than its worth. Because they don't care about the stores. That comes from the 2 running it!. It would take the stores at most an extra 2 hiurs a week if we did it again. Commissary can go too. We make our own products way better at the stores. And so much money could be saved in supplies alone. What a waste of boxes.

This just isn't at office depts. As full time exp poeple live we aren't replacing them. Then cut out that person hours completely. I do my best with resources I have. But upper mgr will have start doing physical task in store soon. Summer is peak sales season in some depts. That shelves will like walmart and dg. Were outs are just a accepted business pratice

The drip effect ki--s morale over a longer period of time. Needs to be one big one, pull the band-aid off and get it over with. Back in February I nearly applied for an IT position at Hy-Vee, dodged a bullet there.

57 more positions cut today, according to the company:

Does someone there think the drip-drip-drip strategy to announcing layoffs is a good one? Or did they already lay off all the people with knowledge and experience in corporate PR?

For the first time, they admit that some people have taken early retirement, and some have just left. Total reduction of 415 corporate positions so far.

Worth noting it doesn't sound like "retail positions" were even offered in this case, just flat up the position is eliminated
