Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Citi just lost its edge

3 days in the office instead of the 2 that was promised. Why should anyone stay here then?

Also they are bringing back the unvaccinated, not cleaning my location on a regular basis, etc.

Citi simply refuses to listen to their people.

Like they ever had an edge to begin with. Other companies pay more in salary, bonus, work life is better. Funny to hear how this multi trillion $ company waffles back and forth on excuses as to why bonus’s are sparse all the while making mistakes costing billions for which the after effects are felt by the employees EXCEPT the upper echelon. No, certainly not them. For them it’s accolades and pats on the back for a job well done with no reduction in pay or bonus, that after is for the little people.

As stated elsewhere: That is the plan. Make things so unbearable that people leave on their own. It save money on the severance so Citi can continue to pay all the fines that we have a habit of collecting. It’s funny to me that Citi will run off a tenured experience employee to hire a new person at 30K more that’ll take a year or more to ramp up and may end up as an average employee usually not performing any better or worse than the guy you ran off before.

Citi had the opportunity to score a big win with the employees. Just state, we had plans to bring everyone back but since inflation is now high as well as gas, everyone who’s role allows it can work from home full time as an option if you wish.
