Thread regarding Apple Inc. layoffs

Should we be worried about a recession?

I joined Apple four years ago and I love my job. That's why I've been so bothered by the rumors going around about massive cuts in case of a recession. Is this likely to happen? Those who were at Apple for the Great Recession, is this what happened then? Should I be worried or are people just panicking for no reason?

No recession. Period. Watch a bounce unfold.

Of course. Apple going down with all the other stocks (except energy). Remember Apple stock at 182. It's now at 137 per share. Recession will occur with CPI going above 8.6%. Fed can't control inflation due to supply chain issue. As long as China's zero covid policy is in place (and of course it will be), they will be able to shut down whenever they want like a light switch on/off. This is one of the best ways to control the international economies (US/EU). Beijing and Hong Kong will shut down next, I think. They will continue to weaken US/EU economy until US/EU are down on their knees regarding Taiwan. Have you heard of TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp)? They are the number one company in the world that make 3nm (and other nm) semiconductor chips. Once china controls TSMC, all growth in tech and everything else will slow down internationally (US/EU/everywhere). You can design and architect the chips, but if you can't get it manufactured, then you're out of business. This is why Intel must must must rush and come up to speed with 3nm Semiconductor chips. We need more engineers in USA. We need to be faster. We need to be more innovative. Apple/Google/Microsoft/Facebook/Tesla/etc. engineers should help Intel get up to speed else we will be dependent on China forever as we are with most manufactured products.

I would love to know as well. I haven’t heard of any rumors of massive cuts. Could you elaborate?
