Boston offices have had MANY outbreaks but no communications or no people sent home. Just left to figure things out on their own. Toronto supposed to go back to offices mid May. Will be just like Boston with outbreaks everywhere. And people are leaving for more flexible and better paying jobs. But they keep saying they care. Joke!

They are "performance managing' everyone they can. If you are still there, every little thing can and will be used to try and push you out.
The return to office has been ridiculous. Trying to win employees over with free gift cards to cafeteria and a swag bag with a mask that doesn’t even fit properly. Stupid, unnecessary waste of time commutes. Productivity is already down for people on my team. People on the ELT even are working remote. Double standards. One person on my team is already in talks with a full time remote job and will likely be leaving. Manulife is so missing the mark on this return to office order.
Really stupid, especially since their competitors have work from anywhere policy, and hiring.
They don't care. It's more cost friendly Manulife to push people out and avoid paying out big severances, then move more positions to Asia. Cheaper than laying people off.
