Literally nobody is happy with being back in office. Went back this week and I’m not going back again- it was depressing and miserable. Not risking getting stuck talking to people too long wasting my time about how none of us want to be there. Posting outside of the bank for a new job at a reasonable company- I’m fed up trying to give this company the benefit of a doubt- ridiculous at this point. Oh.. and should be interesting how they’ll ride this next wave of COVID with the nasty, noisy office in JAX that is under construction and we have to enter through the most inconvenient doors (where you’ll not only swipe your badge on the way in, but also to get out… wonder why they did that hmmmmm)…

LOL! Poster @glp+1gG6iGeU is definitely one of pathetic brownnosers who shows to his/her manager and says "Wow, I'm so busy shooting down these folks who don't like RTO". He does not produce not much else in terms of actual work.
Been going into the office a few days and it's literally a ghost town... and even if it weren't my team is ALL OVER THE WORLD, but ya know, we work better together. SMH
Work is an activity not the location of my bu-t. I agreed to perform the job for the bank, I didn't agree, and they didn't require me to agree, to the permanent location of my bu-t.
Ever have the bank tell you the location of your bu-t has moved to a new seat in the office? Maybe even a new building on the campus. Or better yet, your campus closed and they moved you to another location in the city. At any given time your bu-t can be relocated, yet I'm still performing the work. I stand behind my statement "It's a ridiculous argument, and false at that".
Don’t really care if I accepted a job in the office. The point is it’s not that time anymore. Things have changed and the bank needs to change or continue to lose talent. There is no win in this for them. Speaking of my department with mostly new people who don’t have the skills to do the work. Almost everyone I talk to say their department is going through the same. This is literally a crisis moment for the bank but they will not admit it. Mark my words, they will have no choice but to implement some kind of flexibility soon or else they will come to the stark reality that the warm bodies in those seats can’t do the job and it would be a moment they wished they can change but it will be too late.
@leb+1gG6iGeU you accepted a job that listed a work location. Lot's of valid arguments which you can make, but saying you didn't agree to work in and office (when originally hired) is not one of them unless you were hired as MyWork.
Please tell me where I checked the box that said "accepting employment with the bank to work from the office, not home".
It's a ridiculous argument, and false at that.
So they are doing you the favor of employment? Give me a break. Plenty of jobs from companies that treat employees better. Don't sell yourself short. You are good enough, smart enough and gosh darn it, people like you 😆
I am literally happy to be employed and to have a seat waiting for me when I get to work. Be thankful for what you have. Most folks out there are struggling worse than you.
By the way this poster wrote, they are part of the large pool of less skilled and less confident workers that BofA loves to prey on. These employees don’t feel as if they have a leg to stand on and won’t negotiate or cause trouble for the bank.
As evidenced by the higher value employees over at tech companies - they sure have no issues advocating for themselves and demanding better working conditions.
I’m sorry you are unable to adapt and change. The truth is the bank did nothing altruistic, they looked out for themselves and the potentially litigious situation they would be encountering if they kept a 300,000 workforce in the office through the early days of the pandemic.
Also - you love working here so why are you on a site where people are complaining about your precious bofa?
@glp+1gG6iGeU It’s not a “security measure”.. we’ve never had to swipe to exit until yesterday. It’s a new control/tracking measure.
For the person that just posted. BOFA isn’t the only company with those benefits. Every other other company is just as competitive. The leadership at BOA sucks. So happy you’re happy to stay. It is people like you that will stay and endure the pathetic leadership who can’t seem to get anything right. Thank God they have you to do the work when most of the skilled labor is gone. Let me guess you’re probably one of those people that is a dinosaur, top of the pay scale and does nothing much to earn that paycheck. No wonder you defend their pathetic leadership.

You can’t be serious. Are you one of the dinosaurs that forced everyone to RTO because you can’t wrap your head around the fact that it’s 2022 and office space is no longer necessary? If so, please do all of us a favor and retire already. You’re inability to adapt is destroying morale and nobody wants you here anymore.
I mean no disrespect however I’m sure you accepted employment with the bank to work from office not home. I myself am proud to work for a company who made accommodations to allow us to work from home during the pandemic. Surely you knew you would return to office. I’m sick of everyone bashing the bank. I don’t know of any place that provides the benefits we receive. I hope you find your happiness but remember the grass ain’t always greener. Why do you suppose so many run back to Bofa after they leave? It’s just like any other place come to work do your job and don’t bite the hands that feed you. BTW I see the swipe in and out as a security measure, everyone is not out to get you.
