Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

They see offshoring as a solution for everything

Leadership no longer has any vision and that is why offshoring may seem like a solution to all the problems here. I think the time will come when these moves will be seen as the biggest mistake. Just saying.

offshoring makes total sense. no one really works more than 20 hours a week from home anyway. offshoring is half the cost double the productivity. the employees that are really good and productive never get laid off anyway.

I thinks off shore resources is always good idea to help keep cost down which benefits shareholders! Many times people in Philipeens or the India work harder and have better coding and people skill. All Bellevues people do is complain or enjoy the society justice activities. The conference room carpets are so ugly I wish they would off shore that because there would be better look!

Interesting post. I heard someone say if your job can be done 100% remote from home it can just as well be done remotely from India for 20 cents on the dollar. Something to think about for those people who don't want to RTO.

Offshoring is a great solution. This will allow more time for DEI events and training. Send all the real work to Philippines and India they are just slaves to the Caucasians anyway.
