The main reason I loved working from home so much was because I didn’t have to watch all the pretenders in the office. Who wants to be around while they are making themselves appear competent and useful while being neither? I guess no one. And there are more and more of these charlatans, probably because they are realized that this is much more valued here than actual skills and hard work.

Agreed. It was harder to kiss a$$ on zoom and I appreciated that. It’s been fun to see which of my coworkers do no work and just set up networking meetings all day and disappear. At least with WFH, you never had to see it.
