Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Tomorrow will be the layoff day, Friday the 13th,

a special date for luciferians, astrologers and numerologists alike.

Thursdays are lay off days. Monday’s after end of pay period are firing days.
I honestly doubt JR or management care if anyone commits su----e from losing their income and insurance. If they actually did they would have layoffs every quarter of every year.

Su----e rates are higher on Friday and Mondays which is why it’s usually Thursday for layoffs and firings. They don’t want a rash of suicides. Thursday’s are close enough to the weekend and the Friday following a layoff or firing gives a business day to use for calling your insurance coverage to find out more information and be hospitalized for immediate health impact of such a loss such as heart attacks and
Mental health admissions following such a life event. Also for those who won’t have an immediate adverse event it allows a longer weekend to process what has happened to them. And for HR the payroll cycle every two weeks comes to an end Saturday and Fridays allow for any documentation to be done before it closes out that payroll end date. Now that everyone almost is work from home they don’t have to worry as much about ex-employees resurfacing onto company property with threats or drama. It’s sad but true

Layoff for who? Also, I was laid off from there on a Thursday morning, not Friday (which I believe is more common).
