I was hoping to try something else at the company before my time here ends. Probably will be hard to transfer because of my team being understaffed and I know my value.
If you start the conversation as “if I don’t get the internal transfer, I plan to quit…”. That should make it smooth. Assuming that you are valued in your org/group, look at your manager rating from the Feb-March PA-2022. If you are dead weight, you are done for.
Does the hiring freeze prevent internal transfers? I'm looking externally also.
Freeze in R&D seems to be happening for last 10 years, looking at the level of innovation TD has undergone... Vintage is the best selling product in the history of IT. We need now new marketing stunt

Not me - I would choose a freeze over the 2020 fiasco.
Same here. I would be okay with a severance package similar to the 2020 ones.
