Even in the previous company where I worked, a clear vision was missing. A company can exist for a long time without a vision, but without a clear direction from the management the company will eventually go into a downward spiral. Perhaps ATT has a clear vision, but I don't get what it is?

Too busy hating on AT&T to see any vision.
att's vision is stank and rands playground. they can do no wrong.
The vision is "back to the future".
In the glory days, it was a monopoly and they just had to work the gov't and they could make all the money they wanted. That's why you had a phone company studying cosmic rays and a whole bunch of other nonsense unrelated to our business.
Now they're lining up for corporate welfare to provide internet to those who should pay for it themselves, or move.
So the country spends itself into oblivion and Stankey et al line their pockets with all the 10s of $Ms they can grab, all while trying to sound woke.
The direction is clear; it's called DOWN.
If you don't want that for your future, consider next steps.
Try to do your job and DO not ask for supplies to do said job. Go to downtown Dallas and see the money Stankey is spending to renovate that area. Try not to vomit. Try to do your job and hear about the "budget" yet again. See downtown Dallas and try not vomit yet again. Repeat Ad nauseam. This is "leadership".
Build fiber and build wireless network. Sell the cr-p out of it and make money. There is your direction. Now go update your resume.
Depending on your tenure, I'd be careful to admit how clueless you are! Do you not read the Insider every Friday where it is spelled out! Give me a break and start reading the pertinent info that's available to you!
