Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Employee benefits

I agree with those who think that the benefits here will not improve. At least not in the near future. I try not to worry in advance, but what worries me a little is the possibility of them getting worse.

I hope that doesn't happen. That would encourage more people to leave, even those who are hesitant about it, so I hope the situation with benefits will not get any worse?

be a future shaper - just not for your future but for the mo--ns at the top.

The average employee at honeywell does not have a future.

the 401K once yearly payout is by design and while they should be ashamed of themselves, they are without moral or ethics and so will be confused when you tell them this. How anybody working is finance in a company like honeywell or HR truly thinks they are good people amazes me. They are 100% complicit is screwing not only us but them as well and that is what amazes me so much.

Just remember the "Leadership Team" motto: "We're not happy until you're not happy."

401k … agree. That email from the CFO trying to explain that it was a great thing was so disingenuous. Either that or the cfo who wrote it failed his mba. It hurts everyone including Honeywell. If indeed doing match payouts once a year does improve retention then it creates a situation where many people leave suddenly in Q1 each year.
I suspect they structured it this way so they could use longer term savings instruments to earn interest while they wait for the payment

The 401k one a year thing is easily the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. That alone made me leave.

Welcome to Honeywell, where it always gets worse before it gets worse.

The benefits have had a downward trajectory for decades.

Wish in one hand and c—p in another. Let’s see which fills first.

Honeywell benefits are double those we pay for my spouse at a similar company. DOUBLE!

And they tried to sell me the benefits package at Honeywell.

Terrible company. Low pay. Expensive benefits. Terrible work life balance. Horrible senior management.

Honeywell will yeah but....... But we pay the highest 401 match. Uh, yeah tell that to the family that have to pay for baby formula new mortgages and food. the medical is a joke. Dental is almost non-existent. Honeywell HR will roll out a laundry list of benefits most will never use. If they never use... how is it a benefit?

End of the day HW pays the least amount to keep ur bu-t in the seat and that goes for pay, bennies free coffee and take ur whatever to work day activities for a free hamburger and coke.

Honeywell cant afford people because it has so much in the way of a bloated, poisoned (literally), land portfolio.

The Honeywell benefits are disgustingly poor.

They are easily almost double my spouses company cost…HR tried to sell them to me until we ran the numbers and we both laughed. Honeywell is terrible.
