Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Leadership should finally take responsibility

The fact that the leadership will not admit that the cutting of hours and understaffing has greatly contributed to drop in sales will only bring even bigger problems.
People here no longer have any motivation. Are they even aware of it? How do they intend to fix the numbers if existing employees are increasingly demoralized?

This is part of WEF's Great Reset. Intolerable workplaces lead to high unemployment when robots can take over jobs and humans give in to universal basic income. And then the trap is sprung... buy food, buy it NOW. Learn to garden, get some rabbits (chickens too if you can keep them well!) and be as self-reliant as you can. Pay off any debts if possible. Get ready!!!

I really do believe that the clowns at the top of this company intend to compensate for the lower sales by deliberately understaffing the stores. They do stuff like this every now and again. They have these “pain points”, they look for. What that means is they deliberately understaff, looking for the point at which it starts to undermine sales. They call that a “pain point”. All of this is for them to determine just how low they can go with staffing the store.

You should also remember that these “pain points” aren’t about you. They don’t care about how much pressure or pain they put you in, they’re worried about how much pain it’ll put them in. They’re just trying to figure out how much pain they’ll be in once the understaffing gets critical.

Nice, huh?

It’s good to know that they care so much for us that they’re will to experiment on us like laboratory rats, just to increase their sales and their bonuses. And let’s be real, their bonuses and pay are all they really care about. They like to tell us about how much they care about their associates and welfare, but remember this: “The less you intend to do about something, the more you need to talk about it. Hopefully, the more you talk, the less anyone will actually notice that you really haven’t done a d@mn thing.”

@1nul+1gP7pVis that is the point. They (corporations) want it that way, this way they can pay as little as possible and have the populous dependent on making low wages just to barely keep food on the table

Garbage raises so why is anyone going to put the effort in? They increased starting pay to bring people in many of whom had no retail and/or home improvement experience and pay them in some cases more than long term workers. Then to "pay" for those increased starting wages they give us only 1-2% raises when inflation is at least 8% more like 40-50% if you look at rent, food and gas. We need to unionize now and get some control over how we are treated and compensated. None of us are going to be able to afford to live soon the way things are going.

I would love to be a fly on the wall right now where Marvin, Billy, and Joe hang out.

The only thing leadership should take responsibility for is Nancy ineffective performance management plan to get rid of all the lazy store employees that comment here. Otherwise they are providing excellent guidance to operate a strong financially successful company!

They don't care. This is nothing but another company to milk dry and bail on after loading up with debt. The shareholders and board will get their millions, while those who work and need the job will lose money over and over.
