Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

UOP - still going weak

It's been exactly 1 year since we all got fired from UOP and the office closed.
Since then, all people found jobs before the last day and haven't heard many complaints. All at equal or better conditions. Some people still in the business are now on the other side of the table and receiving the most ridiculous technical solutions and crazy offers from this company.

Sad to see that this once so magnificent company is now the laughing stock of the industry. (10's of millions more expensive for a few psa's compared to competitors, offering solutions that go around while being laughed at)

Glad to see all of us are doing well or better than when under the honeyhell wings.

Take care in the Des Plaines he-l ho-e.

Kicking it - lol - just wait until you find out about company loyalty…

Honeywell will be as loyal to you as the desert is wet.

This is OP
You must be joking or you are one of the mgmt id--ts @4kma+1gQvvp34
Good riddance? Really? Is that why they keep trying to get some of us back, including myself, at higher salaries then before? All have passed up the offers because, honeyhell standard, is below what others are giving and we don't want to deal with this id--t mgmt anymore. Besides, read other replies here!
The problem is that this company has its head up so far up its own a-ho-e, they lost sight of reality. I am on the receiving end of your proposals now, and they are always cause for joy and laughter. Just because of the pure nonsense written in them.

Luckily for you you feel like the company is ki----g it, while you are just riding the wave of the economy. The first sign of downturn...they will restart the usual trick and you might well be part of the pack they fire. Good riddance to you then.

Original poster - wtf are you talking about. We're ki----g it these days. Been here 10 years and yes we lost some good people but there were a certain arrogant population who always talked about the way it was and this is the way we do things. Very nice not having you around and like I said we're ki----g it these days so good riddence.

Isn't the honeywell way to get it to market and then make the customer pay to fix and make it work?

They fired 30-40% experienced workers, then promoted all junior high to be next round of leaders or clueless overpaid outsiders. Of course, they will charge more money to their customers, Honeywell hates their customers. Surprise why anyone even buy from this company

lol - 'trying' to hire. But the problem is, awful benefits (we pay almost twice as much as my spouse's similar company), awful pay, and the HR hiring process is the worst I've seen an any company.

I know of people being 'recruited' by HR for the position they've just left, even though they are still with HON. The stories are amazing how disorganized it is.

Also, why work at Hon when there is no career progression or path mapped out? Other companies will show you what your career options are as you progress - not HON.

And now people are not even getting paid! and the excuse is it is a 'glitch'. The only thing we turn up to work for (the pay) and they can't even pay their people. Disgusting.

Honeywell has the worst IT for any company i've worked. Its hilarious how utterly indescribably cr-p it is - and the IT VPs and Directors still keep their job. Its amazing how anybody gets fired from the ho-e that is Honeywell when the IT and HR directors and up keep their jobs. amazing.

I've heard of people not having email for multiple weeks. We got hacked in 2021. Computers literally shutting down and rebooting mid-meeting. I couldn't order a phone screen protector so if I dropped my $1000 phone, who cares. Sitting in an IL office and the choices of language I'm offered by RED are every language but english. Printers not working even though i sit next to the printer. And on, and on, and on. I keep a spreadsheet and I would say, on average, I lose 4 hr a week to IT...that's 10% of my work time/productivity gone because of IT.

You'd hear the stories from the older folk about how good UOP USED to be, and how every single one of them, says it has now been destroyed by Honeywell. The biggest block to my productivity (aside from 10% thanks to IT) is PMT - the micromanagement is laughable - but most PMT people I came across simply justify their existence. They don't make anything, don't produce data, don't provide innovation, don't provide support and are certainly NOT the group I go to when I have a problem because their solution is to tell me to find a solution.

@2xxg+1gQvvp34. So true on the work load with less people but they are trying to hire. What bad too is the unrealistic goals to they pushing too. Let's us do our jobs goals is something yet set in life not at job place ugh.

Yes agree. I hear stories of the good time at UOP - prior to honeywells arrival.

Most of my problems came from PMT id--ts not caring about UOP workloads etc and stripping all support.

Spoke to other industry colleagues who couldnt believe the id--tic things I’d tell them.

As been stated before UOP started down hill 2007 when Honeywell came in. Getting way political with all darn networks. Pronouns can go on and on. To me we are there to do a job and not worry about metrics, box checked green, accelerator training as said so on so on. We have no more support from above and HR oh and worried about people's feelings. Just PSH UNREAL.

Things are worse than ever in des plaines... most staff are doing 2.5+ jobs in one, with no relief in sight. The outsourcing of IT, Procurement, HR and other depts. are hel*ish to say the least. Due to a glitch in payroll, a few folks were not paid yesterday. Not sure how much longer many folks will last. It definitely feels like an intense pressure cooker there.
