Got an email to update my workday profile work experience. Per usual WF dysfunction there’s no way to add any experience from the last position they have entered from five years ago. Any idea of why this would be happening? Did it happen to anyone else who got laid off or re-orged?

When I got this message over a year ago, I ignored it. I was one of the first in my group to be laid off. I was also a top performer. I say update it with all the buzzwords unless you want a nice long vacation.
I thought that email was an elaborate phishing test
They want to see what they have for skill sets across the organization.
I had an Outlook message with a link to Workday. Saw that it was optional as usual so will ignore it.
When you say “got the email asking to update” do you mean an Outlook message or Workday message? I logged o to Workday for something and there’s a generic message asking for such an update but nothing in Outlook.
The Workday message was canned - nothing specific about me, my group, etc.
What groups are being asked to update this?
funny part is I updated mine last week in preparation to apply internally for some jobs and then got the email requesting I update the other day.
Corporate risk compliance
It’s happening in our group too. Curious of the motive
Which group(s) are we talking about?
It is happening in our group. Skill sets, education, etc.
Ignore it,
Was asked, and was laid off.
This is not new. They’ve asked for our group to do this two years ago but nothing came out of it. I’d be curious to understand the purpose this time around.
Our 2-over asked us all if anyone had a specific thing that could check one of the usual boxes pertaining to DE&I.
Being vague intentionally. But something is going on.
