Thread regarding Change Healthcare layoffs

How will the company cope with the brain drain?

So many experienced and knowledgeable long-timers leaving? OK. a lot of new employees are leaving as well, but that is not my point.
It’s obvious that this company never cared or thought much of its employees, but with these levels of attrition of folks that were here a long time and know the company inside out, it is just a matter of time before this starts reflecting on every day operations.
How come the leadership is not aware of that simple fact? They can’t be that stupid to think that offshoring is the answer?

The executives know and understand. There are limited to no revenue growth generators and for the last several years have been moving as much as possible offshore. At some point there is nothing left to move.

No corporation cares about the employees. They will allow a person with 15 years of experience to leave or lay them off and hire someone with no experience for 50% less. One person without the knowledge of someone with 15 years experience is not going to make a mistake that could dramatically have an impact overall. And when this occurs a few hundred times, think of the savings.

Any time a corporation keeps pounding you with messages about how valuable the employees are and we are revamping bonus plans (example only) for the employees benefit, then time to get out. They want enough personnel to remain to keep running the business until Optum takes over, then a nice pat on the back and a few weeks severance. I am not pessimistic, I am a realist and have lived through all this cr-p.

There is a reason that personnel are leaving along with directors and vp's. They have access to more information and know what lies ahead and it is not good or they would remain.

Investors are seemingly paying for intellectual property, overhead, and a whole bunch of debt. Skilled and experienced employees producing a product doesn't seem to factor into it.
