Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Who is responsible for all the recalls?

There have been too many lately, even for Ford. Who do you think is to blame? The ELT, middle management, or employees? I think mistakes happen when we're expected to cut corners to get something out before it's ready. Those decisions can only be made at the very top.

For sure not one of the real Fords. They are just on duty collecting a check worth at least 4 times the going rate of the position.

The retribution for telling the truth and saying that something isn't ready. If you don't turn things green, the storm comes down. Instead of being thanked for saving the company money on future recalls, you get punished. So everyone plays the game and just ships it.

This company needs Mulally in a bad way.

  • Employees who just don't give a care. Morale is at a record low.
  • Technical people who are not technical or competent.
  • Supervisors who want to get promoted to LL5 by banking a cost reduction that backfires later.
  • Mid managers who just want to check the box and release it. "Make it green"
  • Way too many new executive hires who have not helped one bit.
  • Reduction of actual, real vehicle testing.
  • People driving prototype vehicles for personal reasons, rather than work. And then not reporting when something is going wrong on said vehicle.
  • Purchasing cheesing off our suppliers.
  • So much red tape to fixing a problem that people just give up.
  • Cutting heads when we need more resources to deal with that red tape, and then actually fixing the problem.
  • Not delaying a new vehicle launch when clearly it is not ready for Job 1.
  • Retaliation risk for bringing up a problem that makes a friends and family look bad.

Just a sample. Could go on and on and on

Farley is responsible. The buck stops with the CEO.

I've tried to explain this in the past, but I get dismissed away. No one will listen, now I see an opportunity, short Ford stock and make a bundle of cash.
