C is way behind the pay curve on salary and bonuses. If you get a raise of 2% is average from what I’ve seen but in light of the current economic downturn there’s no way C can match the rise in the cost of living for each employee. Cost of living has gone up 12%.
Citi does NOT reward the BAU roles very well. BAU is considered a necessary evil. I had a colleague the same level as I was at the time, he worked very hard and got an extremely high ranking. His bonus was 2K. He moved to a non-BAU role, his ranking was a middle ground ranking and got 10K.
If your role is keeping the lights on, don’t expect a lot. If your role makes money or innovates (whatever that means at Citi), then you are rewarded more.
C11...bonuses are hit and misses, just like raise percentage. My bonuses have ranged from $800-4000.
Some of my coworkers hardly ever receive bonuses.
VP or C13 got $10k
No, that’s not it. As an employee, you can compare your current salary with external job postings that lists the pay ranges. Citi salary is NOT up to market standards.
A story all too familiar. Instead of taking what you get why not take the highway onto greener pastures. It’s your choice so why not choose the same type of work for more money.
VP here first few years got nothing then one year I got $1000 then another year I got $800. I don’t really know how its calculated. I asked my boss once about bonuses and the answer I got was, “how the he-l am I suppose to know”. I never asked again and just take what I get. I work in a very toxic group so Im guessing it all depends what group you’re in but to be honest I have no idea how the bonuses are structured.
As a C13, between 14k and 19k. One year as a C14 before I left, 14k. It's one of the reasons why I left.
You have companies like Microsoft who are doubling their raises and bonuses to offset the cost of living increase. I don’t see Citi doing that.
C13- I’ve gotten between 8k and 15k
It's all based on ratings now. Mine was a little over $3K-AVP
