Neighborhood Stores Closing Plan Canceled?

I recently looked in MacyInc. store count for Q1 2022 and noticed that there wasn't a separate category for neighborhood stores like the previous quarters had. Does this mean that those 51 stores previously classified as neighborhood stores have proved themselves to be viable locations and no longer being considered for closure for the foreseeable future?

The company realized that closing stores also impacts online sales in a market. If you look at many of the remaining stores from the original list, you will see that many of them are lone doors in a market. Closing these locations is effectively existing a market and online sales drop as much as 35%. Customers like the option of being able to bring items back to stores which is why we continue to install lockers and other options to support .com.

We had two stores on that list, one closed and the other has suddenly had a 5.0 scorecard every month since so I don’t see them closing it.

I know they were putting this on hold until reviewing further. At this point not sure about the Neighborhood designations although they are probably keeping a close eye on those sites. From a third party vendor selfish standpoint I do hope these sites stay open for now. I have enough stores to visit but it’s very hard closing a store from all aspects.
