Thread regarding GE Healthcare layoffs

They persistently set unattainable goals

I would love to see my boss try to achieve all the goals he sets for his employees. GE Healthcare will never admit that these are unattainable goals, so it's always us who are not doing enough to achieve them. I'm sick of it. Why does the company persistently set unattainable goals? What's the point of that?

The FDA is not pleased with some GE HC Design Specs... If a product acceptable error rate upsets the current FDA - It's got to be slam dunk bad

Unhealthy environment is what management thrives on. It keeps them in control. The so called mismanagement is on purpose. Live with it or move on.

The unattainable goals are attributed to GE’s unhealthy short term financial greed rather than investing long term in a healthy business with satisfied customers and employee’s. Whatever you do make sure you pencil whip all those hours of BS GE learning or management goals (variable compensation/bonuses) suffer, Beatings will continue until morale improves

So when you don’t reach your “goals” you get the shaft (less of a raise) come review and annual raise time. Eventually you will get Rif’d (layed-off) just give it time.

Your direct manager and his/her boss and his/her boss and his/her boss will ALWAYS be better than you and get treated as such.

This is how they do it.
