Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

That won't save their reputation

If the leadership thinks that doing layoffs silently, without news of it reaching the media, will prevent damaging the reputation of this place, then I think they are simply wrong. Because, there are already a lot of dissatisfied employees, who were unjustly laid off and also those who left on their own because they could not stand this mess here, and they made sure that everyone who intended to apply here was warned about this place.

They have nothing to save! They have been doing this for decades. It's how they keep their positions year after year. They get rid of everyone "on their team" that doesn't kiss up to them or they deem too old & expensive. Then they hire sycophants who don't know enough to see them until it's too late. The lucky ones wind up with a severance and the unlucky ones are broken down with unjust reviews and constant beratement until they retire under duress. Maybe it's just the corporate way but it stinks all the same.
