Those who think that remote work will never be the norm

Is there any explanation for why they think so? Most jobs can be done perfectly well from home, so why will working remotely never become the norm?

@2gxp, 100% correct. Every other post is people bragging about how nice they've had it with wfh being able to do this or that on company time and then like clockwork on this site someone tries to push the fake "I do more and better work from home" narrative. It's almost as if they believe the managers are as clueless as them, lol

If you noticed there were several questions in the Employee Survey about remote work / hybrid schedule. It seems that upper management may be starting to listen. Its going to take time, but I think we will see more flexibility given around remote work.

With all this talk about people only WFH 2 hours a day, or working a second job on Chevron's time (both true situations), management is fuming and will do everything in its power to bring people back into the office.

The hybrid model will suit the vast majority of jobs. Chevron, as a "leader", will look around and see what other companies are doing.

Those of you who have been around long enough also remember that management was dead-set against 9/80 schedules.

Because upper management wants control and micromanagement
