Thread regarding Clean Harbors Inc. layoffs

Undercover Boss...

Came across a repeat airing of the Clean Harbors Undercover Boss episode last night. Only reminded us of the POS McKim is going on national television touting his great "American" company while at the same time the company was laying off employees and outsourcing jobs to India.

The division I work at has extremely poor moral all round. Some of the easons for this are:

  • CH offers poor pay for what your dealing with (you are definitely losing years of ur life from the chemical exposure).
  • Raises are hard to get and low when you can get one (strikes are common).
  • Old equipment. Don't know why they don't just rent. It would be cheaper than constantly trying to fix equipment that's far past it's life.
  • Horrible pension match program and mediocre benefits.
  • No retaliation taken towards hostile managers (but a front line worker will get hung for the smallest of things). Workers complain to HR and nothing gets done about it.

McKim going on undercover boss was a publicity stunt, it had nothing at all to do with him actually giving a F.
