What do we have to do to get ANY of the managers to do ANYTHING around here?

I respect a manager that jumps in and helps the team once in a while. We’re not asking them to do our jobs, just prove you are part of the team you want US to be.

Our CM is busy grimacing at everyone, but demanding everyone provide wonderful smiles and exude happiness. Our manager sits in the office on his phone all day. We are borderline threatening employees daily regarding credits/upgrades.

I feel your pain! Our Club Manager is very unreliable, and untrustworthy. Kinda hard to be respectful of a manager who sits in the office behind a computer all day, or in the office behind a closed door, with the window covered up. Makes ya wonder...

I would like to see managers get off their phones for at least a little bit, train new hires, maybe check time off request once in awhile, stop hiding in offices, communicate things, not turn off their radios, and show up on time so we dont have to wait in the mornings to get in. Any of that would be good.

Sam’s gets rid of good engaged managers that questions the higher ups. I have seen it first hand. H.O. doesn’t like to be questioned. Lord help you if you question or challenge an MM or RM. you will be black balled.

I expect you to train newbies like you are supposed to.

Leading by example and being a servant leader would be the first step.

You know what I want to see from managers? I would like to see them present and not hiding in an office all day on their phones. Sometimes one feels as if they are talking to the floor instead of a human.

Please elaborate......what is that you want them to do? Managers are not in place to work alongside hourly associates. they are there to delegate & see to it that assignments are completed.

I rarely ask management or the team leads for anything. I just do it myself.

Pray. Then do it yourself.
