Are you doing conversion of AUS$ to US$ when comparing pays? 1$ AUS = 69 cents US.

That is correct I was speaking to some of my colleagues in Australia and their pay checks are ridiculously high. Octane is wasting his money here
A few years ago I had access to a spreadsheet that had the average cost of employees by region. I was shocked at how much Auzzies made. They were almost double the cost of a US worker. I imagine much of that was in taxes, as I know their take home pay was not that high compared to the US. Some times all of those government perks come back to bite you. Hock pulled out of Germany for the same reason.
Octane does not care but worries about the unnecessary $$ he is spending on Australian team
