Even if I don't get laid off, I definitely plan to leave Ford very soon because this is no longer the company where I feel valued like I used to. Layoffs are always stressful even for those who have previously prepared for it, but I really don’t know anyone who got laid off without finding a new job very soon after. Perhaps the package is actually the best way out?

These SRDs are just the tip of the iceberg. They will go on every quarter for the next year and likely beyond as the fed unloads their balance sheet and raises interest rates. By that time we will be in a full blown recession. Not a chance the feds pull this off without a recession.
