Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

We officially offer the smallest O&G bonus!!

It is amusing how HR can find a way to take even a positive thing, like receiving money, and make it insulting... Now we provide random, sub-inflation, bonuses that are below any competitor.

It is also amusing how the entire US workforce called out the lackluster Jan raises... And 3 months later HR finally realized it too. I guess it's too hard to have any kind of foresight, whatsoever!

Outstanding work HR!

In the stock program expansion email, they noted that individuals with high potential can also participate in executive program. Do you need to be an executive to participate in this? I thought that would be case.

As I never received a bonus or RSU's, I couldn't give a flying fcuk if EM's bonuses are the lowest in the industry or if they are eliminated entirely.

Some competitors have better total compensation packages.

A bonus of 20% is considered decent (not good...not bad) for rank and file (non-C Suite) employees.

What were you expecting (30, 40 or 50%)? Those are for the big boys and girls. Just remember my philosophy: Nobody Cares...Work Harder!

PS. Be thankful for a raise of 3%; the raises at some of our competitors were no more than 2% and their TOTAL compensation package is not even as good as ours.

Maybe executives will think twice when they say "if you dont like it, you can leave" I have heard that very line from a past IOL CEO and an EMIT and Upstream executive after employees said they were unhappy.

Guess what? Employees said OK we will and they did. I wonder if executives will stop being so deaf and insensitive. Maybe they will stop saying "leave if you dont like it" and actually listen to why employees are speaking up... Otherwise, people will continue to leave.

And employee polls should have better questions. I didn't answer last week's survey because the questions were insulting.

Our benchmarking is not benchmarking; it’s picking those companies that we know are not competitors so we can look average, how many folks do we lose against any of our benchmarking competitions. Based on my experience, a very very single digit percentage

How long is TG going to keep forcing the people EM needs to leave with insults like this while only keeping those ones EM needs to get rid of? The benchmarking study was a laughable joke and has decimated the trading org and this doesn’t even make a dent at offsetting that mistake… and it is definitely not going to make competent talent suddenly want to come join that’s for damn sure… if anything this is a clear sign to anyone holding out hope and will likely accelerate the exodus of people who add value…. Everyone knows how EM works. Come Nov it will be back to benchmarks that evaluates apples against oranges and tells everyone they are paid well

Hr doesn't make the decisions the business does hr simply performs market analysis and carries out the duties of the powers to be, if anyone blame DW and the C suite
