They are leaving this mess of a company with a nice safety net. They might even get a chance to relax for a while before starting a new job. Honestly, I believe they're the lucky ones. We'll now have to do more work for the same pay and deal with all the same cr-p we've been dealing with for the past several years. I'm not lying when I say I wish I was laid off.

When I was let go after 15 years in 2020..cobra premium was $1800 a month! No way to afford that 😕
Cobra is available to those who voluntarily quit a job.
The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) gives workers and their families who lose their health benefits the right to choose to continue group health benefits provided by their group health plan for limited periods of time under certain circumstances such as voluntary or involuntary job loss, reduction in the hours worked, transition between jobs, death, divorce, and other life events.

Umm..you get 2 months of T-Mobile paid Cobra, then you have to pay the monthly Cobra premiums on your own. I'll suggest one of the Obamacare insurance methods would be cheaper than Cobra from T-MUSH
I hope all you POSs leave!
I am waiting for severance also.
It is important to note that layoff people qualify for COBRA which is health insurance guarantee for 18 months. You don't get COBRA or unemployment check if you quit.
Something to think about if you are ready to quit.
I agree with this sentiment. I had the pleasure of joining Sprint 1 year before the merger and seeing what was left of the people after multiple rounds of layoffs and the effects that has on the work culture and mindset of the employees. It raises the general anxiety levels, creates an overinflated sense of scarcity, and reduces collaboration due to people wanting proprietary (to them) information/technical skills to add some sense of security. The, they can't fire me because without me they wouldn't be able to do XYZ myth. T-Mobile is mistreating a lot of their employees, violating rights, and overstepping employer boundaries, but it's hard to leave on your own. Being layed off with a severance package, even if it doesn't feel like it when it happens, seems like such a relief.
I'm sure one of them would be happy to trade with you. As----e.
