In a previous round, we were told layoffs were coming and our jobs were safe, we were let go the next day. That place spun one lie after another for years, you cannot believe anything they say.
This is sadly 100% true. I know somebody who was convinced by his manager he was safe and he accepted it at face value. When the next layoffs round hit and he was affected, he was caught completely off guard. He wasn't even here long enough to get a proper severance. It wasn't pretty. Don't let something like that happen to you.
