Honeyhell has turned into a dog eat dog company. We used to work together to get things done but now the competitiveness between employees has reached new and ridiculous levels. People are going out of their way to make sure you don't succeed in what you're doing. No wonder attrition is so bad. Who'd want to work in an environment like this?

It’s the Old GE culture Cote worshiped. It’s what upper management wanted and got. The 10% that need to be sacrificed each year by Hon HR system and is loved by Mgmt is the old GE way…
All of my direct reports must bcc on every email. I smile at all meeting and assure new leadership that arrives, "we are so happy you are here" and I never bring bad news. I sandbag on all metrics and make sure to blame other functions. Never cooperate with other departments, we are understaffed. Always under promise and over deliver. Sign up for every stretch goal I can. Love to gossip, back-bite, scheme, set traps, and shed "crocodile tears" when staff are walked out the door. It's called HON toxic survival and YES, I get off on this!
It’s culture…. Brought to you from Indian management….
It's not new? Then maybe the company should stop telling applicants and new hires that we "are like a family here."
Maybe I am just old fashioned but if the culture has changed to the point that throwing your coworkers under the bus has become normalized and commonplace then maybe the word "family" is no longer an apt description of the organization?
My experience was different. I have been gone now for over 10 years. I was a principal contributing engineer in the successful APU products in the mid 1990’s to mid 2010’s.
The reason those products were successful is due to many, many, many engineers all working together.
I think the culture I witnessed is long gone.
This is not new at Honeywell. Engineers tend to be a competitive group...not all but a lot.
Unfortunately I had to learn this the hard way. The whole place is like a never-ending game of thrones where people will gladly step on your throat if it meant they could climb one rung higher on the career ladder. What a sad and disgusting mess...
Just leave
So very true on this they got ones crying wolf all the time to HR so they can climb that ladder. And all this woke political cr-p here now too who cares who you want to be that day just do your job and help others out. PSH UNREAL
