Thread regarding Southwestern Energy Co. layoffs

About to hire on at Southwest

Hi all. Didn’t know where else to go. I’ve had one interview with SWN in Spring for IT position. I passed out with PhD from University of Texas. I come from Bombay but in US for 7 years prior to PHD study. I want to know what work life culture is like at company. I require to work from home for 3 days per week because wife is in medical profession and my kids stay home because COvid risk. I hope after they hire me I can work from home. I also like badminton, table tennis and cooking in my spare time. It will be nice to see you soon at orientation. CEO is a rock me sock me one of kind. Bye now.

Some of you took the news hard. Whoever left the all American no flush on 5, you’re going to be…. Given a promotion. Nice work!

Just heard the report today. They’re going to farm out 10-15% of our jobs to folks in Vietnam. Cheaper labor for the mostly desk jobs. This means layoffs. Not good!

Also would like to know do more people of ethnicity be laid off at Southwest compared to white peoples? This include people from Far East and Asia include India. I have found no statistic to compare. Would like to know CEO philosophy on matter. Thank you.
