Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Leadership is too busy promoting themselves

I am under impression that leadership spends more time promoting itself than thinking about good decisions that would be useful for the future of this company. Isn’t that extremely frustrating and demoralizing for all those who work hard, who work long hours?
As long as that’s the case, I don’t see how Cisco can get any better.

Only thing that matters at Cisco is how fast can you raise to director level. Because at that level, you don't need to know what happens on the ground and you can feign ignorance cuz u r a director

@1iiq that's called a Ponzi scheme. Chucky and his buddies will be heading to some club fed place, unless he aborts and departs before the 'sheet' hits the ceiling.

How will Cisco get better? If you are a company that sells horse & buggy equipment... you can't just transition into manufacturing automobiles.

Cisco sells & markets legacy network equipment that was acquired from other companies. There's no way we transition into developing cloud solutions, software, or even security services.

Cisco just needs to manage a gradual decline of our revenue by overpaying for startups with revenue growth.

There is no plan for Cisco to get better. The plan for senior executives is to suck as much cash out of the shareholders' pockets for as long as possible. That's it.
