Thread regarding Ascension Health layoffs

Massive losses

I’m leaving soon, but I’d love to hear sometime in the future that Ascension hasn’t reported massive losses. Will this ever happen?

Becker's:
"Additionally, St. Louis-based Ascension ended the first quarter of 2022 with an operating loss of $671.1 million and a net loss of $884.7 million. Ascension said its operating expenses ballooned during the first quarter to $7.3 billion, up from $6.6 billion recorded the same period one year prior. It also reported investment losses."

So sad!!

It was already reported in Becker’s. I believe it was around $600 million in losses for first quarter 2022

Agree. They have very good accountants and lawyers.

While Ascension leadership is morally corrupt and would exploit loopholes if available I doubt they would to anything overtly illegal. intentionally hiding losses Enron style isn't in the cards. If anything losses could be used to justify reorganization, layoffs and outsourcing.
