every day is a leave work early day for GM's and above.
I folded my tent up two hours early. No one will ever know except for me. Mental health is very important to me.
The rule of thumb in level 1 management is, if you're given the green light to hire another body, you do it regardless of the workload or lack thereof! The logic is that if there are reductions in force down thecroad, it doesn't sting as much. You then still have the bodies necessary to do the work.

I'm in, my department keeps hiring more and more technicians, while we don't have work enough for our current crew, what gives?
What? Work? Your kidding, right?
I just show up for the paycheck and great benefits.
Why? I haven't done any work since Wednesday.
Drive around in my 6MPG truck for 2 days to look busy.

How this company makes any $$$ is beyond me.
Even though I work from home, I plan to close everything down one hour early in support of this event.
