Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Ugly truth

Citi usually manages their BAU people out of fear and are quick to tell you that the pittance you are given for a raise or bonus is doing you a favor. If your role is BAU then you WILL NOT be given a raise to match the rise of inflation. It just won’t happen.

Oh you’ll be given the ole standard “every gets the same thing” or “this 2% is the norm for us” or “this 3% is more than anyone else in the team” either way, it’s a good as its going to get. If you want you pay to be adjusted to match the rise of inflation, then you’ll need to jump to another company…..bottom line.

I left last June after being told there weee to be no raises or bonuses and that I was lucky to have a job with the pandemic. Left not long after that. Oh, and the promise of more hires to offset the four of us having to work alternate weekends and start at 7am and end at 7pm some weeks. No thanks.

They also need new exit mats. What they have is getting worn down from people leaving.

"Employees will vote with their feet if their expectations on company culture, reward, flexibility and learning are not being largely met." - - -and this is exactly what is happening. Employees are voting with their feet rather than the lameness of the VOE.
