Most likely around fall so it's timed to be near when bonuses are paid out to soften the blow for those that are laid off and make the ones that aren't feel a little better about the whole situation. Leadership is already telegraphing revenue declines and losses in presentations which lays the groundwork for opex cuts and headcount reduction when the actual numbers are reported. Unlike CDA, expect layoffs to be more targeted and somewhat counterintuitively, some teams will continue to hire. Depending on the severity of the profit shortfall it could be handled as an "under the radar" piecemeal action spread out over months in order to not have to report a large number of employees being downsized and thus spook investors too much.

With recession all but certain, I'm once again getting worried about layoffs.
