Anyone else hear anything?

No need for an LR with the number of people that have left over the last 6-12 months.
Pinto here,
I hope you guys over there at TAC are doing great. Wishing you the best.
I'm retired now and not actively looking to work at Cisco again. Miss ya!!

bring back pinto, he knew how to run tac
TAC isn't involved in the VPN/DUO drama. That's all STO/IT.
Not in my group, we’ve been understaffed for months. Although we just got some back so they probably will take some away somehow.
I need to find my next spot after tac. BIC money keeping me put though….the job is easy really. Set hours, once you realize you basically can’t be fired, you stop caring that 28/30 of your cases are pi---d the fu-k off. When the shift is over, you get to hand off.
I think that alone might be worth having to work weekends to make 130k. If I got make 120k base in an org, if there’s an issue I’m on (with sh---y tac LOL) until it’s over, in tac I get ton”my shift is over so I’m handing off”
After all, just “control what you can control” right?
Ex-TAC here:
Getting LR was a blessing from above for me. Seriously.
Turned into a heavily medicated engineer after years of TAC queue.
A mindless, thankless existence. Purgatory.
It was the toughest job I ever had. No one cares. Much like being a soldier. Easy to loose touch with reality. Long exhausting hours. Same thing over and over again. Pressure cooker.
Once LR'd, my mental health returned. It might be the best thing that ever happened to me.
There is life after TAC.
There is life after Cisco.
Go live it. Get out if you can relate to above. Take care of your health. First and foremost.
entire TAC will be outsourced to third party support
Is that a good thing? Just asking ... :P
With the churn of people leaving, not sure why one would even contemplate of the notion of having something resembling LR in TAC.
You just do not hire for 3 months (again) and the next day you would find yourself waking up in the dystopian reality which is called 'a day in the life of a tac engineer' where processes matter more then outcomes, new-shiny-run-of-the-mill-projects are always the focus of our attention deficit management for the next 3 seconds. All to end with a goto begin in order to lose demotivated staff, so we can hire again.
Mate, after the vpn/duo drama, should be heaps.
entire TAC will be outsourced to third party support
Hear anything? From TAC? Loooooooool
